The Top Three Factors People Miss When Planning for Retirement
Most people approach retirement planning with good intentions: you save diligently, invest consistently, try to picture what life will look like after your working years. But even the most thoughtful plan can overlook a few major factors that have a significant impact on your long-term financial stability.

Anchor Wealth Management Holiday Highlights
December has been a whirlwind of festive fun for the AWM team! We’ve been celebrating the season with two very special events that brought us closer together and filled our hearts (and stomachs) with holiday cheer.
A “Christmas Vacation” Tour of Wisconsin Supper Clubs
On December 13th, the team channeled their inner Clark Griswold and headed out for a Wisconsin Supper Club Tour. Inspired by the classic holiday spirit of togetherness (and perhaps a bit of eccentricity), we traveled across the local landscape to experience the best of Wisconsin’s culinary traditions.
From the essential brandy old fashioneds to the relish trays and prime rib, it was an evening of great food and even better company. It was the perfect way to kick off the holiday season, celebrating our local roots while enjoying the unique charm of a Wisconsin supper club.
The Griswold Family Games & Potluck
The festivities continued on December 18th with our Griswold Family Games Potluck. Our office was transformed into a scene straight out of a holiday comedy!
The Feast: Our team members showed off their culinary skills with a spread that would have made Cousin Eddie proud (but much more delicious).
The Fun: We competed in a series of “Griswold-style” games that tested our coordination, wit, and holiday spirit.
Events like these remind us that while we are dedicated to your financial planning and prosperity, the strength of our team comes from the genuine friendships
and joy we share behind the scenes.

Adam’s Nightstand
This month, I am rereading 10x Is Easier Than 2x by Dan Sullivan with Dr. Benjamin Hardy. I first read this book back in 2023 and enjoyed it so much that I’m diving into it again as I prepare for 2026. Some books are worth revisiting, and this is definitely one of them.
The premise is powerful: when your goals are 10x instead of 2x, it becomes far clearer what you need to do—and what you need to stop doing. A 2x mindset—like trying to grow a business 10% per year—can pull you into unimportant tasks or micromanagement. But a 10x goal, such as growing the business tenfold over five years, forces you to focus only on the few actions that truly matter. It sharpens your clarity, your priorities, and your purpose.
The book also reinforces that meaningful growth and exceptional client service come from quality, not quantity. Quality means continually improving the value and experience we deliver to our clients at Anchor Wealth. And that pursuit never ends—because when you’re committed to constant improvement, you never fully “arrive.” There is always room to grow, both personally
and professionally.
Highly recommend!
